Divine Guidance

'Your task is to build a better world', said God,
and I questioned 'How?'

'This world is such a vast place, an oh so complicated now.'

'And I am so small and useless, there is nothing I can do.'

But God in all His wisdom said 'You just build a better you'.

REFLECTIONS FROM THE MARSHAL
Al Pederson

It is from neither the force of habit, nor the force of man which has led me to find myself in such admiration of what my nations' flag represents.
Rather it has come after countless hours of study and reflection upon the recorded history of mankind.
Considering only the place of my birth, I have been blessed by God in ways others cannot imagine or comprehend, people who have lived their entire lives never knowing of such a place or nation, or people who have never been exposed to the existence of a loving God to provide them with hope.
Hope is one of my nations greatest gifts. Upon my shoulders, as well as the shoulders of like-minded others, rests the future of liberty and human dignity on planet earth.
It is in this spirit, and in the desire to represent hope, that I will carry my Flag, our Flag, as your Marshal.

The following quote expresses feelings of a Mason about the Masonic Fraternity.
"We represent a fraternity which believes in justice and truth and honorable action in your community...men who are endeavoring to be better citizens...and to make a great country greater. This is the only institution in the world where we can meet on the level all sorts of people who want to live rightly."
    Harry S. Truman
President of the United States, 1945-1953
    Grand Master of Missouri, 1940-1941

Opening Ode
Oh beauiful for spacious skies,
for amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties,
above the fruited plain.
America! Americal!
God shed his grace on thee,
And Crown they good with brotherhood
from sea to shining sea.

Oh beautiful for patriot dream
that sees beyond the years.
thine alabastger cities gleam,
undimmed by human tears!
America!America!
God shed his grace on thee.
And crown thy good with
brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

Closing Ode

Now the day is over,
night is drawing nigh:
Shadows of the evening,
Steal across the sky
Jesus give the weary calm
and sweet repose:
With thy tenderest blessing,
my our eyelids close.

Welcome Song

Welcome, welcome to our Chapter,
We shall need your help and care,
In the harvest fields of labor,
You shall have a rightful share.

Welcome, welcome Heaven bless you,
Welcome, welcome is our prayer:
Welcome, welcome to our Chapter,
Welcome, welcome to you here.
